airbrushes – Cake airbrush set vs airbrush set?

Cake airbrush set vs airbrush set?

okay so im doing cakes and i was wondering about airbrush sets.

is their a certain kind for cakes or can we use any kind of airbrush set but specifically use it for cakes?

For any of you airbrush tattoo artists who regularly set up at shows and events, you know how important it is to have a checklist to make sure you have what you need, and to minimize bringing too much stuff that you will not need. You never want to drive 2 hours to an event only to find that your airbrushes are still sitting on your workbench at home... nor do you want to make extra trips hauling equipment and getting it set up only to find that you did not need it... been there, done that. So here is a basic list I go over when packing for any event.

__ Airsource

__ Backup Airsource

__ Airbrushes and hoses

__ Manifolds, Regulators, and hoses

__ Ink

__ Airbrush Holder 1 per artist

__ Flash and display

__ Stencils

__ Table

__ Canopy for outdoor event

__ Makeup pads for skin prep

__ Business Cards

__ Garbage bags

__ Stool and foot stool

__ Spare parts kit (extra needles, nozzles, hose fittings)

__ Rubbing Alcohol (70% for skin prep, 90% for cleaning)

__ Extension cord

__ Lights

__ Cashbox with change

__ Price sheets and care instructions

__ Mirror

__ Floor covering

__ Blue Masking tape

__ Cleaning Kit

__ Zip strips and pipe cleaners

__ Tool Kit

__ Paper Towel

__ Copy of contract

You will want to review your checklist after each event, noting things that you could have used, or ended up not needing. Be sure to update your checklist for your next event. You will continue to improve your skill and expertise at each event and in no time at all, you will be a seasoned pro.
